Some look for troubles while other's don't

Steve felt he was plotting a disaster to happen. While the spaghetti sauce warmed in the crockpot, they scurried around like thieves to move Jory's bedroom into where Alfie was staying. Of course, Steve let Alfie and Poppy take their love nest away. No way was he touching it.

Thankfully, Jory didn't have much and Steve had the room made up just like Jory left that morning for work. It was neat and pretty much a bunk room, bare to the bones.

Steve sighed thinking Jory would probably be a better roommate than Alfie who was so messy in Steve's eyes.

Still, as the minutes clicked away and daylight turned to dark, Steve had no idea if this would even work. He left a sticky note on Poppy's apartment door, that dinner was at Steve and Simon's tonight.

Of course, there was no get-away for Alfie and Poppy. They were to stay put for dinner. Somehow they would all face the music. Even Simon who kept clarifying he got in late for all this. Steve told him to keep quiet.

Naturally, everyone was exhausted from the bedroom flipping and Simon ended up opening a bottle of red wine. He said they should all relax. It would be fine.

Steve shook his head no. Were they counting their eggs before they hatched? Did they not think of Jory at all? He reminded him that Jory didn't have an easy job. Of course, he would need to be fed and would need to be pampered.

"What are you getting at?" Simon winced as if he didn't like where this was going.

"Would you rather he be pissed and go postal on us?" Steve looked at Simon as if he better be on his best behavior.

Steve was certain the wine was a very bad idea, but Simon kept drinking as if he could hold his liquor much better than anyone there.

And then Jory arrived who looked suspicious of everyone.
