After Ellie got off the phone with Eric she saw it was already midnight. Why had he let her talk so much.?Of course, he talked about work and so many bands he wanted to see and how his sister would be here for his birthday in October. So maybe she wasn't entirely to blame for the long conversation.

It felt good to be on the phone with him and of course, it took a long thirty-minutes of "No, you hang up..." before she actually did hang up. She was afraid he'd call and ask her why she hung up.

She was sleepy. She brushed her teeth one more time because she figured she forgot. But it was quiet in the house. So quiet.

She turned off the light and hugged her pillow and fell into an awesome dream that Nick Jonah was hugging her and telling everyone at a concert he was going to marry her.

Her eyes flew open then. She felt like she was falling. God, what an awful dream, she thought. Why would she dream something like that when she was so happy with Eric? She didn't need a Jonah's brother.

She laid there still listening to her heart beat. Finally it quieted. Then she heard murmers. Sounds. Voices. Quiet voices barely above a whisper. Maybe even a slight giggle.

Ellie laid still in the moonlight. Her teeth clinched. She so wanted to run across the hall and bang on someone's door. How could he? Roxie was in Kyle's room. How did he get away with something like that. Honestly, why?

His mother thought he was an angel. She couldn't make her believe what she knew of him.

Why did she feel like beating someone up? Kyle. What was wrong with her? She didn't want to care, but she did. And she knew where Roxie was.

His crybaby act was so over, Ellie then thought.
