Roger could have spilled it all to Eric, but he didn't. He so wanted to tell him about Ellie, but Cory told him not too.
"I swear you are like the authentic Gossip Girl," Cory informed him on all this little trail of hear say from Nick and even Kyle about Ellie. "You better leave it alone."
They'd fussed about it, but somehow in the end Roger knew he was right. But now, now he was hearing about Olivia from Eric.
"She gave you a gift card from the movie theater?" Roger wished he'd give it to him as it was he never went to a movie anymore. "Aren't you going to take her out then?"
"No. I'm back with Ellie. I can't do that." Eric was upset about it, just the same. The package had shook him up. "No-body's ever sent me a package, you know. I mean, a girl."
"Not even Ellie?" Roger asked. "You know, Olivia seems the type, if you were on a plane and it was the last two seats she'd give up the window seat for you."
Of course, Cory was there when Roger told this to Eric over the phone. Cory looked all wide eyed as if he better shut up and stop causing so much trouble.
"I dunno, I'd want her to have the window seat."
"Who? Ellie? Or Olivia?" Roger asked.
"Just shut up! Get off that phone now!" Cory whispered giving him the cut throat signal. "Stay out of it!"
"Either one."
"But? But would Ellie give up the window seat for you?" Roger went on with the scenario.
"Of course she would, but I wouldn't want her too." Eric told him.
"Are you sure about that?"
Cory was trying to take the phone from him. It was getting to be a bit of a wrestling match.
"What are you trying to tell me?" Eric questioned.
"Nothing," Roger said quickly. "I gotta go." With that, he hung up, and Cory started tickling him, and they ended up in the floor kissing after awhile.
"Why are you like this?" Cory finally asked when Cory laid back then on Roger's bedroom floor. They both looked at the ceiling.
"Like what?"
"Trying to get into people's business." Cory sighed resting his hands across his stomach.
"People's business? Am not." Roger smirked.
"Yes, you are." Cory winced.
"I just think Eric is going to be left in the cold, and he's gonna miss out on something great with Olivia- all because Ellie couldn't make up her mind. Do you think its fair that she's still seeing Elliot?" Of course, Roger had to use his hands as he spoke. He was ready to do a dialogue with his hands, of the whole romance between Elliot and Ellie.
"No." Cory grabbed both hands. "What ever happens, happens, all right." Cory kissed him then, and naturally, Roger was happy to see him. Perhaps it was just a tactic of reverse psychology, Start talking about other people's love lives that couldn't even hold a candle to their own, or Cory's way of making him shut up.

ReplyDeletei wonder if eric will ever find out.
ReplyDeleteRoger and Cory.hehehehe. I'm glad Eric has Roger to talk to.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are having fun. I like the way they talk to each other...and I'm glad things are perfect, either. Cory's questions about Roger. & then Eric and his problem. Fun ending.
ReplyDeleteHaha I can picture fighting over the phone. so funny.
ReplyDeleteI liked the psychology of the whole window seat thing. Would you or wouldn't you.
ReplyDeleteI remember one time I was in the middle seat, and I tried to talk the woman next to me into switching seats so I could have the window seat. I was five.
