far from the situation

"So, you're not going to be practicing down here, are you?" Olivia was worried about all the musical instruments coming down to the basement.

"No. No of course not." Doyle shook his head. He was going to the laundry room with them.

"That's not a good idea."

"What?" Doyle shot her a look that she was being to difficult.

"The guitars. Don't put them in there." She winced.

"Why?" Doyle glared at her.

"If the laundry room floods it would be bad news for your stuff." She told him.

"Has it ever flooded?" He wanted to know.

"No, not yet, but it could and why do something stupid like that when you should have known the possibility." She pointed out.

"Dunno what to do." He shrugged.

"You had them on the wall, before." She remembered.

"Yeah, but not all of them." He sighed.

"Could you part with any of them?" She wondered as she watched him with her hands in her back pockets.

"I don't really want too. But I have my favorite ones already upstairs." He told her.

Olivia just nodded.

"Well, we'll keep one for you in our room. But you better see if Lon or someone can keep the other two." She sighed. "We're running out of room."

"You sure that's the only thing that's bothering you?" Doyle wanted to know then.

Olivia just smiled then.

"Its not a problem that you're here. Really." She took the old guitar from him then. "Don't worry about me. OK. I'm OK with everything. I just hope it works out." But really with so much stuff of Doyle's, this was far from the perfect situation.

  2. Olivia thinks of stuff you normally don't think about when you put things away. Here, lots of flooding recently.
