no jumping involved

"You know what we just did, don't you?" Asa said it first as Amanda cautiously drove home from the dealership in the almost new car. She nodded. She really didn't want to talk about it. She knew it would come back to haunt them, some way. Even if she made the payments on time. After all, the car was in her name.

"I'm sure if he was in the right state of mind, Elliot would have done the same thing." Asa went on to say.

"What? Pose as you?" Amanda still couldn't believe it had happened, so naturally. The dealer had just assumed who he was. Who they were. And when she saw the car, it was love at first sight. She wanted to celebrate getting the car, but it would feel wrong. Wouldn't it?

What other wrong things were they going to do?

"You can be happy with the car, OK?" Asa looked at her then, but she wouldn't look his way. She was driving this baby home and parking it in the garage.

"You can't go to jail for something like this, can you?" She looked at him then.

"We'll just say it was some kind of mix up, if it comes to that. But I don't think it will. I really don't." Asa told her. "Honestly, I thought he knew who I was."

"You never told him any different." Amanda reminded him as she parked the car in the garage.

"Really?" He winced so slightly. Amanda looked at Asa then. Was he this good at acting with anyone? Even her?

"You're not mad at me, are you?" His eyes told her she couldn't be. He took her hand. "You know, I'm here for you. I wouldn't let you down. I couldn't." She felt his warm palm on hers.

Amanda slightly winced. This was the beginning of something, wasn't it? Yet there was no looking back. Just to look ahead. It was already here, and she hadn't even had time to prepare for it.

  2. Asa gives me bad vibes; he's not a good character - reminds me of a con-man. :/

  3. Well, he might be doing this for all the wrong reasons, but I think he cares about her.

  4. I hope they go to jail. I don't like either of them.

That's strange way of putting it. If you didn't like those two movies then you'll definitely dislike Buried. I just watched last night and loved it but it is very intense to watch. The whole thing literally takes place in a coffin.

  5. It is kind of funny how I can make people dislike characters, like this.

  6. Really, though, Asa might have the best intentions for Amanda. I don't think he's all bad. Besides, he might not have had to do this if it hadn't been for Elliot.
