what nobody talks about

"So...." Kyle winced very hard trying to get this figured out. It didn't seem possible. He thought he might laugh at Asa. They stood in Amanda's kitchen watching Rosie eat a bowl of oatmeal. "You- you moved in, here?"

Asa gave a slight nod. Kyle didn't know what to say. Was he suppose to ask? Was he sleeping with Amanda? Well, he thought he had a right too. His daughter lived here.

"Well, you know, I could, I could hang on to Rosie, a little while longer," Kyle said instead. He was still in good standing with the daycare she attended.

"You don't have to do that." Asa shrugged. "Between Derrick and me, she'll be just fine. There's that family who has a daycare down the street that she goes to, every now and then. And well, maybe, maybe Amanda's going back to work."

"I see." Kyle nodded, supposing he'd still have to pay child support. He grinned then, wondering what kind of work Amanda would do. But at the moment, she was asleep. Which was possibly a good thing. He didn't want to ask Asa if he was sleeping with Amanda. He noticed the pillow and quilt on the couch then. He guessed he wasn't. He guessed he didn't have to ask. Kyle bit at his thumb nail then. He wondered if Elliot really knew about this.. Kyle thought he should talk to Elliot about this before it was too late.

  4. Kyle is really sweet to be concerned about that, but I mean I would be too. The whole situation is just a bit.....awkward.
