it doesn't take an imagination

Liz was beginning to wonder if she'd be pregnant forever. It felt like it. Her sister and her new husband had spent the weekend with her and Munro.

"Still no word from Kip?" Her sister cornered her.

"No." She shrugged, but her sister stared at her as if there had to be more. Had to be. "Look, we don't talk. He said nothing when he found out I was pregnant. Its over. All right. Done. I'm not making an effort anymore."

"But you have, too." She told Liz. "Its his kid."

"I know." Liz wanted them to be doing something fun. Like finding more pictures for her sister's wedding scrapbook. Even though, she really liked to think of the baby as Munro's. Finally, after awhile Liz told her. "Kip is seeing someone."

"Fine, she needs to know about you." Her sister followed Liz around the kitchen, who was putting on the kettle for hot tea.

"She knows. Oh, she knows." Liz didn't need to be reminded of that. Liz felt everything was put on hold. But she knew it couldn't be on hold forever because this due date of hers wasn't all that far off.

  1. I really hope that Kip is a part of this baby's life; it's not right for Liz to have to raise him or her on her own! :(

  2. I know Liz might have been bad..how she got with Kip, but still..can't blame this on the baby.

  3. Such a hard reality, but I think Liz is at least considering not asking for much from him.

  8. I just hate it when a boy cannot take responsibility. (I feel accomplished in a way because I actually clicked the link) Reality is hard, but I think that Liz's sister will help her through this, this is when family does come through.
