Roger wasn't sure if he knew what to do. After all, it had been Ryan who saved him, and yet here she was in the hospital.
"Son, do you think she'll be all right?" His dad came to the hospital which really threw Roger in a tailspin. Ryan's parents weren't there, and Roger wished his dad wouldn't refer to Ryan as 'her.'
"I dunno." Roger almost fretted. She'd collapsed soon after she brought him to shore. "They just need to do some test."
"Do you think she's pregnant?" His dad was wide eyed and yet optimistic.
"No." Roger scowled. "Of course not." He told his dad he was fine and that he didn't have to be here.
"What about Ryan's parents?" His dad kept pushing more questions.
Roger just shrugged. Ryan didn't talk about parents. It was like a solo act when it came to Ryan. Roger didn't ask about these kind of things with Ryan, yet now, it was important. Roger didn't even know who to call.
that feeling, not knowing who to call. Its awful.
ReplyDeleteRoger's in a tough place right now. :/

ReplyDeleteThings like this really define the relationship.
ReplyDeleteYou have to wonder how Ryan is with her parents...or how they are with her.
