Love was made for you and me

Josie looked out at the beautiful skyline. It was breathtaking from their hotel room. They'd spent the day in Central Park and all that it had to offer for the holiday season. Of course, security was tight and they might not have shopped at all the places Henry wanted to check out.

 She looked over at Henry.

"See, I knew YOU couldn't stay mad at me, forever." Oh, his giddy smile, made her laugh, every-time.

She knew she should take a moment and rewind..just how they got to this moment, in New York City.

Getting married on Christmas Eve was the last thing she ever imagined. Henry wanted to go over to Asa's. He'd told her to put on her party dress. They might sing some Christmas carols.

She looked at him as if that sounded crazy.

"I don't even sing." She'd winced.

"Oh, just move your mouth around, a little." He'd teased.

She shook her head, thinking it was all a dream. Sure, it was a small ceremony and her family and his family were there. Yes, it was all such a simple affair and she didn't have a thing to do with it.

She wanted to be so mad, but she couldn't.

Yes, life was busy with the baby and college classes and work.

Could they possibly squeeze in a honeymoon during winter break?

"How did you, do it?" She wanted to know. Allie stayed home with her mother.

Of course, they did have their marriage license.

"I dunno, I got to talking at Asa at work, wondering what was troubling you..and..and he says, well the wedding will be one less thing to worry about. And, he could help out with that." Henry put his arm around her.

They weren't going to the streets to celebrate New Year's eve. No, it was nice being in their own hotel room, alone.

Still, she did miss Allie, but she was brave. It was probably good for Allie to be with her grandparents. It would definitely be a learning experience for both of them.

Maybe, just maybe she and Henry would be world travelers, after all. Oh, and married, of course.

  2. Awe, I love that Josie and Henry got married... I think they need a little time away from Allie to be with each other...
