one happy thing after another

one happy thing after another

Xander hoped Liv didn't get the wrong idea, but he needed to ask.

"Are you sure things are OK with you and Joey?" They met up at the coffee shop. He invited Corina.

He'd awoke in the middle of the night, that he'd already had this conversation with Liv and they ended up touching and even more. So he knew they couldn't be alone, but of course Corina was never on time. After all, she was engaged now to that intern who might marry her before he was an actual doctor.

"OK, I guess." But Liv didn't sound so sure.

"Did something happen?" He didn't mean for her to think he might use it, against Joey. "See, I dunno if he's ever talked about it, but..he..he had this invisible friend."

"Oh, Chelsea?" Liv treated her as a real person. "I don't think she bothers him, anymore."

"Well, she really..had all of  us guessing, I guess you could say." A part of Xander really wished he'd met Chealsea, but then he would be considered crazy too.

He pressed his lips tight, thinking he might not be all here, himself. It wasn't easy having Kevin around(His adoptive mother's real son).

"I...I guess I should tell you." She winced as if she really did have a surprise for Joey.

Xander looked at her waiting to be shocked.

"I found Joey's dad." She then said.

"Joey has a dad?" Naturally, it was Corina who said it before Xander could. She made it after all, as she scooted into the round table between Xander and Liv.

"Yeah, he's in California. He's a musician, he says." Liv told him he was based in L.A. but in recent months he'd been in Colorado.

"Why is he in Colorado?" Xander winced thinking his father might not be up to any good.

"Oh, he and his son have opened up a shop." Liv nodded. They sold pot in brownies and other sweets.

It must run in the blood, Xander thought. And a brother too.

"I invited them for Christmas." Liv smiled, but in the next breath she was asking Xander if he could put them up for the holidays.
