Oh, I'm never gonna be the same again

 "Wow, you did that for him?" Alfie chuckled about what Boone had confessed about Rafe and his adventures in Arizona.

"It felt like nothing at the time," Boone shrugged. "I guess we're still friends."

"He's got his job doesn't he?" Alfie told him he was a friend indeed, "You're branching out lil bro." Alfie grinned.

"I dunno," Boone wasn't certain of that. "I was trying to do the right thing when his Dad came asking. I couldn't lie."

Alfie nodded. "You did the right thing."

"But..but he might hate me." Boone didn't even want to see Rafe.

"You did the right thing." Alfie nodded.

"You think?"

"Problems are gonna happen," Alfie shrugged about the matter. "You don't even want to know what I have to go through with Remi."

"Remi?" This was the first time he'd heard the name.

"Oh, we both knew it was a mistake," Alfie grinned. "But you know, we still have to see each other."

"You slept with a co-worker?" Boone winced as if Alfie was too much.

"NO." Alfie laughed. "It's history, OK. We work at the same place. She's married. I'm married. I't not that big of a deal. It's just..yeah, it was a mistake..and well, we have both moved on. Still, it can be troubling when..you know, I'm around her. But it's all for the best."

Boone wanted to see it that way. He didn't want Rafe mad at him. He hoped all was better now. However, Rafe was gone for so long. Maybe he had been on Lily's side all along, and he didn't even know it.
