maybe I've learned something

Dear Diary,

I had supper with Kyle and his Mom. It was really good, too. She's fantastic in the kitchen. No wonder he knows so much about cooking. Its like she had this rhythm about putting everything on at a certain time. And its all done in like thirty-minutes.

She asked about my Mom, and I wasn't sure what to say. You know, are my parents really splitting up? I just said she was helping at great Aunt right now who's not doing so well with the simplest of things, like leaving her groceries at the grocery store. She hurt her car while trying to pull out of the garage. Kyle's Mom says my mom her hands full. She says people who are my Aunt's age (in her eighty's) are just as unpredictable as teenagers. Then she looked at Kyle and he gave her this "I could care less what you think" look. It was nice sitting down to a meal even if was a one pot meal. She's a good cook.

Then this whole mess with Rex. I don't know how I'm going to get out of it. How do I get myself into these things?

Leia is driving me crazy about it. She's really beginning to ignore Roxi and I can tell she's not happy about that. Roxi wants Leia all to herself and really, maybe they have so much more in common than Leia and I would ever have.

I had a dream, I got sick and Leia got Roxi to go out with Rex. It was the best. They had such a great time together.

I have figured out.

1. I'm my own worst enemy.
2. I can't make everyone happy.
3. I will not be Leia's puppet.
4. And if I do go out, if ever, I do not want Leia giving me a makeover.
