Ellie told Eric she was on the look out for Roger at the football game.
"Well, I'm not going to look that hard for a guy with ears on his head," Eric told her. "Anyway, if you find him, what are you going to do? Tackle him?"
"No."
"Good." He smiled as she'd best not bother.
"OK, I won't even look for him."
"You know you will." Eric just shrugged as they walked toward the football field. Everyone was out and about in their purple pride colors except Eric who was in black, and Ellie had only wore her purple sweater with her purple beret.
"I'm not promising anything." Ellie didn't see Roger, but there was Cory and Dylan.
Eric gave Ellie a look not to get too excited. He took her hand then, and they walked into the crowd as if they didn't see them at all.
"Why are you making them find us?" She knew Eric still wasn't talking to Cory. It was something she couldn't ask him about. It was this mute subject. She got the impression that she wouldn't even be able to say hello tonight. But she was determined to.
"Because I can."
Wrong answer. She was pulling him toward Cory and Dylan.
"Where's Leia?" She wanted to know.
"Don't know." Cory shrugged. "Was I supposed to know."
"I thought-" Eric squeezed her hand about that time.
"So where are you guys sitting?"Cory asked. It was the homecoming game.
"I'm not sure." Ellie looked at Eric.
"As high as we can go." Eric then said pulling Ellie with him. He put his arm around her and Cory and Dylan were right behind her.
"So Dylan?" Ellie was stumped what to ask as they made their way up the bleachers. "How do you like homecoming?" The band was playing some jazzy numbers and the purple body paint was everywhere. It looked as if the crowd had gone wild.
"Very interesting." Dylan just nodded.
Finally they managed to sit down. Ellie got a good look around down below. Eric sat by her and on the other-side of her was Dylan then Cory.
"So did you break up with Leia or something."
"Or something," Dylan said. "She just stopped talking to me."
"Maybe she just needs some alone time, right now," Ellie nodded, but then she looked below and their was Leia and a guy with a dark bandanna on his head with a leather vest and tight jeans. Ellie didn't say anything, but she couldn't take her eyes off the pair. This was odd. Had she just made a point to be here with a biker dude.
Leia Leia... Jumps form one guy to another. And I think it's good that Ellie went and talked to Dylan and Cory. Eric's behaviour towards them isn't very nice.
