Homecoming

Eric wore red, after all.

Cory brought Dylan. Leia showed up with her biker dude, Wes. And Nick talked to Joan and got Kyle to hang out with him.

Ellie and Eric had no time to eat before homecoming so they ended up eating again with Cory and Dylan at IHOP.

"We're such old friends now," Dylan had come to the conclusion only Eric didn't think so.

Of course, Ellie was pretty sure Kyle had more fun than he wanted to admit. Nick knew lots of Freshman girls. So they danced a lot.

Actually, it was an all nighter for the most part. After-Homecoming was just as big or better than homecoming. It was a lock-in of sorts. Prizes to be won. Karoke to be sung. The fun was just endless.

Only Ellie couldn't be sure just how much fun they had. She was so tired before it was over. For a while even Eric took a nap in her lap. It was a long affair at the gym. Really, Ellie was happy to get out of the red dress and out of those horrible heels and back in her pink pajamma pants and her black T-shirt for the after Homecoming. Honestly, she wondered what all the fuss was about. She supposed they might have all looked nice for about an hour or so all dressed up.

Naturally, Leia didn't say a word to her. Ellie supposed it was the fact that Dylan and Cory were together. Roger was no where in sight. She felt kind of bad for him because he always liked a party.

"I don't think I'll be to school on Monday," Eric yawned. "I really need sleep. I hope you won't mind." Once they got out of their on Sunday morning they went for pancakes.

Ellie was beginning to think Eric needed a lot more sleep than she did.
