one of those days

Nobody seemed to care that Roxie was gone. Especially, Leia.

"Typical." She said to Ellie while they were going to English.

"She's ran away before?" Ellie wanted to know.

"Who knows, I wouldn't put anything past her." Leia shrugged.

"Well, maybe she feels the same way about you." Ellie couldn't help but say.

"Why do you even care? You don't know her." Leia fumed as they got to their seats.

"I know," Ellie said. "There's so much I don't know, you know."

"Whatever," Leia rolled her eyes, "And another thing, Cory is to stay away from Dylan."

"What?" This was news to Ellie. "I almost forgot, he drove you guys somewhere, didn't he?"

"Yes, and it was awful." Leia told her. "They were making plans without me."

"That's just too funny," Ellie smiled. "Sorry."

"Who does that Cory think he is? Huh?" Leia looked cross. "What have you done to him?"

Just then they had to be quiet because class was starting. Ellie really didn't have an answer for her. She'd have to wait until after class before they could talk, again.

Of course, it didn't help that Nick stopped Ellie in the hallway to talk to to her. Another moment where Leia gave Ellie a furious stare.

Actually, they were talking about nothing. Although, Ellie asked him if he'd heard about Roxie running away. He said he hadn't.

Finally, she caught up to Leia who was still at her locker putting on lip gloss.

"You're just too good to be true, aren't you?" Leia scowled.

"What is the matter with you?"

"You know I'm poison, you better stop talking to me." She scowled even more.

"Leia, you're the one who's making a big deal out of whatever, maybe its a good thing that Cory and Dylan hit it off so ...now ... you know," Ellie said.

"Know what?"

"About Dylan, maybe he's not the right guy for you." She didn't want to out Cory.

"Nobody at this school is going to go out with me, you know," Leia was feeling sorry for herself now. "I didn't even get the lead in the play."

"Sorry."

"Is that all you can say about it?" With that Leia walked away and Ellie didn't chase after her.
