in circles

Cory waited for his hot chocolate. Really, he didn't have to have any, but Roger insisted when he came over. It was kind of quaint. But Roger wasn't going to drink any with him, instead, he was going in circles loading the dishwasher, taking out the trash. It was a bit insane, actually.

"Why are you doing this now?" Cory said. Roger had just called and said his Dad would be out for hours, Cory thought that meant one thing. Evidently not.

"I dunno, I feel guilty, already," Roger looked around the kitchen to see if anything else needed to be tidied up.

"But we haven't done anything," Cory shrugged. He then dipping his finger in the cool whip drizzled in chocolate, he pushed it in his mouth. Nice, he thought.

"I know, its just, the house is clean." Roger ate at his lips a bit, slightly nervous.

"Its just the two of you, dude," Cory reminded him.

"Yes, its just he knows." Roger acted embarrassed even saying it as he was becoming his timid self.

"He knows I'm here?" Cory winced like maybe he should escape out of the back door.

"No, just me, I tried to talk about it with him and he's all, oh you know how it is..blah blah blah..you're going through a phase." Roger sounded as if it was exhausting to sit through.

"Is he trying to say he went through a phase, is that it?" Cory shook his head then he grinned.

"He doesn't even want to think about me depressed. Its not that he's mad, its like I don't think he even cares, you know that? I don't." Roger squirmed a frown but all Cory saw were his full lips, and he wanted them.

"But you said you were over that?" Cory winced.

"Yeah." Roger nodded.

"And everybody is OK with us, you see that, don't you?" Cory knew Kyle was OK with it. Ellie and Eric were planning on them going to the concert.

"I know," Roger's eyes were bright then.

"So there's nothing to be afraid of," Cory told him.

Roger almost smiled. Cory touched his cheek then, brushed his fingers through his hair.

"We don't have to stay in if you don't want to, maybe we could just go to a movie," Cory smiled coming closer.

"Are you kidding me," Roger zoomed in for a kiss then. Cory was a bit surprised, but he kissed back with satisfaction.
