a long time coming

Roger slightly regretted that he couldn't spend his entire night just with Cory, but there had been enough, in the end to give him the strength, the happiness he needed to get through this tournament without him.

Of course, it bugged him that he'd have to sleep in the guys' room. He didn't want to. He felt for sure there would be something horrifying to happen. He didn't know why, but it could happen. Couldn't it?

The competition went fine. Actually. He was on his game. Really, it was so satisfying. Not only that but Kelsy said on the bus ride that she'd be the president of their Rainbow Alliance group. It was like the icing on the cake. He couldn't believe it. He felt for sure if she was the president of their group then it would be this new window of some kind. Perhaps everyone in school would want to join. Well, not everyone, but anyone could, not just gay and lesbian teens.

"I think I could get it back to GLAD." Kelsy felt certain. She knew a few teachers that would help, and she would some how make the Dean see it was a club needed at school.

It just gave Roger more strength as the day went along. He felt good about so many things. Even his Dad was getting used to the idea that he had a boyfriend. Nothing was going to kill this mood of his. Nothing.

Or at least not until bedtime at the hotel where the improv and debate team were staying.
