"What's got in to you?" Elliot couldn't possibly believe Ellie. Not after what they'd just been through. She'd been so happy, and he'd felt so glad she'd spent the night. Not that they'd had each other, completely. But just the same, they'd been intimate. It was all been rather satisfying, wasn't it?
It was enough until next time.
She was going to Prom.
"I'll just be with my friends," she said getting dressed. She wouldn't stay all night. "Whats wrong with that?"
"I don't like it." He wanted sleep now. She had him wide awake.
"Well, then don't," she said. "I'm still going." She pulled her sweater over her head.
"Even if I say, no." He felt left out suddenly.
"Pretty much." She nodded pulling up her thigh high socks more under her flare short skirt.
"But why?" He just couldn't give it up.
"Its not the end of the world," she looked back at him. "Look, I gotta go." She kissed him then, and he kissed her back, accidentally. He wasn't going to. After all, this didn't set well with him. All the things she said she'd never do. She was.
As he sat under the covers, basking in the lamp light, he remembered too, they were doing all the things he swore they'd never do.
hard to say if it'll go uphill or down hill from here.
ReplyDeletePoor Elliot..but not really.
ReplyDeleteElliots behaving like a spoilt child, he should be wishing Ellie a fabulous time.
ReplyDeletethat alone would stress me out to have someone like that around. I hope Ellie has a great time.
