Naturally, Elliot was texting Ellie. Finally, she shut off her cell, completely. Really, it was awkward being there by herself. A part of her felt naked, even.

And then she saw them. Eric and Olivia. She couldn't help but spot them. Eric was smiling. What were they doing? Signing? It was so sweet. She then found herself realising it was meant to be. And a bit of her felt happy for the both of them. He was so into Olivia. And it looked like a beautiful thing. She couldn't deny that nor think of puncturing it, either. She wouldn't.

There were a swarm of girls asking who she'd came with. She didn't have an answer for any of them. It felt wrong to say no one. She knew she should. And she would. But it was too late. Suddenly, she found someone's arm around her from behind.

"She came with me," he said.

"Ryan?" She could barely recognize him. He was taller and leaner now.

"What? You didn't think I'd show, now did you?" Ryan smiled as if he'd be the best date possible.
Ellie felt she'd woke up in a dream. She couldn't tell if it were bad or good. Just strange. So strange seeing him here.

"I didn't know-"

"Surprise!" He grinned even more and gave her hug. "I missed you so much, you know. I have."

She thought he might take her breath away, and possibly not even in a good way.

"Lets dance." He told her, pulling her into the floor of strobe lights and bodies in tune to the music.

"Sure." It was the least she could do. Nothing else better. She supposed, moving to the music as she looked around wondering where everyone had gone that she knew. Perhaps they were all getting pictures taken.

As the song came to an end, she looked up at Ryan. His mouth met hers and with his tongue, he slipped something into her mouth, and she swallowed before she knew what had happened.
