"All right boys, let have a good time now." Right after Ryan said that to Roger and Cory as they'd walked through the gates into the throng of people at the prom, Roger stopped.
"This is a mistake." Roger found him self breathing under his breath. Especially when Ryan gave him a hard slap on the back. Cory too.
"In case you haven't notice," Roger then spoke up. "I'm here with my boyfriend tonight."
"What?" Suddenly, it was as if Roger was untouchable as Ryan looked at him then Cory. "You gotta be kidding me, you two?"
"Sorry," but when Roger said it..it felt more like a punch like to a joke than really meaning it. He wasn't sorry at all. "You got a problem with that?"
Ryan fumed and pushed through them into the crowd.
"I think you've lost him now," Cory then said.
"Good, maybe he won't even come home tonight." Roger took Cory's hand then. "Lets get in line before the line gets too long. I want my picture with you."
"Sure thing."
Roger wasn't so sure what to tell Ellie now. He didn't see her. Maybe she wouldn't show.
