Note to self:
Don't ever do this again. Never. You will stay home from now on. Never think about going anywhere.
1. you'll be at work on time.
2. you'll spend more time with your family.
3. you'll find things to do at home in your own room.
4. all you need in Henry(my dog).
5. spend more time with Mom.
Ellie found herself praying that she got out of this. Somehow. Some way. She wanted to be home. She wanted to never go to another dance, again. She would be fine watching "Just Friends" and eating popcorn on Prom night. If ever she got to go to another Prom. Elliot didn't come to mind. She didn't even want to deal with him. All she needed were the simple things in life which this wasn't. And yet it was. Just put one foot in front of the other. Walk. Keep going.
She smiled to herself, thinking of some Christmas show about Kris Kringle when she was a kid and that silly song about "Put one foot in front of the other..." She couldn't remember the rest of the words. Why would she? Like that would help? Maybe it would. Maybe it would get her mind off things right now.
The horrible fact that she was possibly violated by a creep. She'd always thought Ryan was a creep, but hated the fact that she'd thought that about him. But now it was true. It was totally true. He was demented. And she hoped she never saw him again.
There were moments she wanted to just cry. But she kept a stiff upper chin, thinking she'd feel worse than she already did. Her body was sluggish. Her stomach grumbled and her feet trudged on. Trying to keep numb. Trying not to think of the blisters on her feet.
And then she saw an old blue pick-up truck coming her way. She didn't know if she should be happy or frightened.
poor ellie..hopefully, help is on the way.
