Kelsey stayed with Amanda through it all. She felt she had to step up to protect her if someone said anything a bit nasty to her about her baby bump. No one did. It was much more calm than she imagined. And they'd had a nice time at dinner and everything was going great, except...Ellie was nowhere.

"I don't know why she didn't just go out with us, you know," Kelsey was a bit peeved. As it was, Ellie was just too good to be seen with them, evidently. "What did she tell you, Kyle?"

"Nothing." Kyle shrugged. "I didn't really see her. She was over at Elliot's. Maybe she got ready over there."

"I bet he's with her, after all." Kelsey should have known. Ellie couldn't live without him.

"I haven't seen him." Kyle told her.

"Well, it doesn't mean he's not here. They probably never made it here. That's what she did."

"Maybe." Kyle didn't dwell on it.

Amanda just held Kyle's hand. He looked at Amanda then. "I'm not gonna worry about it. Lets just dance." And they went on the dance floor then. Kelsey grabbed Nick's hand. If they were going to dance so was she and Nick.
