coming home

Ellie thought Roger was going to pass out at the sight of Lon. She kept having to say everything for Roger because he kept stuttering. Of course, Lon didn't pay him any mind at all. He seemed more pleased that the house had a basement.

"I can't remember the last time I've been in a basement." He jetted down the stairs and checked out the bedroom.

"Look, I kind of -" Roger just looked at Lon then Ellie. "I think I- Look, I promised that room to somebody, already." Roger stared at the both of them as if it were a done deal.

"Not a problem." Ellie didn't even wince. "Lon can sleep with me."

"Are you serious?" Roger looked shocked.

"What's wrong with that?" Ellie knew she should have said something earlier, but then she didn't know about the place being taken. She thought Roger would have been happy to know she'd found them another roommate.

"Nothing," Roger said, but she knew it was something. "But, what about, you know, your Mom and your Dad? What would they think?"

"I'm practically 18 what does it matter what they think?" She gave him a hard stare.

"Whatever." Roger looked as if he'd been whipped. He backed up the basement stairs then and left her and Lon alone. Ellie was sure they could work this out. Some way.

  1. I liked this scene. It made me smile. The way Roger is acting. Ellie not letting any of this getting to her. & Lon happy there is a basement.

  2. uh oh drama:) and yeah I was just going to have two versions of trash but i needed to know if the script version would be as more heart-felt or as good as the book.

you see my friend is a screenwriter and he's been interested in finding new scripts from young writers so I have been trying to convert some stories into scripts for him to see if it works, he's really into finding new authors. And about that, I think Ellie and Friends, like you said in the interview would be a great tv show. I really do think it would be and if you were willing to see what it would look like you or I could try to make an episode out of the first few posts or whatever part you feel is the best in the story on becoming like a test episode. Because if you really wanted to be an author, this probably would be the quickest way to start, I would be glad to show my friend, though he is more interesting in having a resume of five things, but I'm sure you can find enough things you've written to send into him. Okay this may be really confusing to you and I am probably saying too much but I guess the main idea is that if you wanted to have your work sent in to someone like a publisher I would be glad to give it to some people, because to tell you the truth this is the best blog I've ever read and I would hate to see it stay a blog (unless of course that's what you wanted.) The only downside of this all is that my friend only usually works with scripts, but if you were more comfortable with keeping it a story, I can still see what I can do. I'm not expecting you to decide right ahead, this is probably really confusing so if you have any questions you can comment back on my blog or email me at:
