the me and you time

Olivia caught herself from saying, "I think that went rather well." She really didn't know how well any of it would be. Especially, when her father found out. Her Mom wouldn't be much better. It was true, they'd disown her.

She remained quiet for the rest of the way home and only thanked Lon quickly and went upstairs with her stuff.

How was this going to work?

She could see Roger waking up from this dream, and then she wasn't sure what might happen. What if she was homeless?

"You won't be homeless." Roger promised as soon as he went upstairs to find out if she was OK. "I won't let that happen."

He sat down on the bed while she figured out her connection on the Internet at his place. She'd had her laptop here before.

"Just let your Dad be his high and mighty self. It doesn't matter." He put his arm around her hoping she felt at home here. "I will miss your room there terribly," Roger smiled then. "It was a great room compared to this." He looked around at the blank walls. It was practically a motel room while her room back at her Aunt's had so much character. The lovely window seat where she could spend hours typing away at stories.

"There's potential here," Olivia looked around wondering if he was just trying to sidetrack her. It was working.

"See, we can do this." Roger gave her a silly grin.

She nodded.

"And we could have a schedule worked out. Sort of." He shrugged. "Not like I'm putting a calender together or anything, but I work the afternoons, mostly. You don't come home until four which leaves you some alone time. Then well, we could have some together time and you know, study time, your computer time with your writing."

She smiled at him, so thankfully, that he understood how she liked to have time in her day to write. Olivia kissed him then.
