Almost Thanksgiving

"So do you think Olivia will be in town?" Ian seemed dead set on seeing her from the way he talked about her to Eric.

"I think Nick said she went out of town with Roger to see his Mom and her family." Eric told him as they were making their way to his mother's house for Thanksgiving.

"I don't have her new phone number," Ian said. "Would you have it?"

"No." He shook his head. "Why don't you e-mail?"

Ian nursed his bottom lip.

"Ian, what's going on with you and Olivia?" Eric looked at his brother then as he parked his car in front of his Mom's apartment.

"She won't admit it, but I know she-she really wants me, you know." Ian finally confessed.

"Hate to burst your bubble, but she's with Roger." Eric got out of the car and reached in the back seat for the cat carrier.

"Well, we talk. We used to, and I don't think she's really that into him. We were pretty tight." Ian shrugged.

"OK. If you say so."

"You're not mad at me?" Ian looked at the cat in the cat carrier who hissed at him.

"Strange as it may seem, I'm not. But I don't think you have a chance in hell with her, either. Anyway, I have other things to worry about. And you are the least of my worries."

"Seriously, you should worry about that neck beard of yours. I don't think you'll be getting any unless its somebody into those cave men guys on that car insurance commercial." Ian laughed.

"Very funny." Eric rolled his eyes at that.

"Are you sure bringing Belle was that good of an idea?" Ian helped him up the stairs with the carrier.

"I'm not gonna lose her. She can stay in the carrier, you know." Eric was determined to give her the best care possible. He'd keep her in his room. According to Syd, Belle was a very good travel cat. He just wasn't going to take his chances on letting her out of the carrier in the car.
