not so fun

"Look, I'm sorry. I really am." Roger told Olivia on their walk around the block. It was so cold even for a slight thaw. Anyone in their right mind would not be out in this January winter. Ice. Snow. Sub-zero temps. It was ugly out. Roger watched Olivia's breath in the frigid air.

"You don't think, that's it. That's how are you?" She was blunt as she hugged herself in her heavy coat and mittens.

"Well, Dad, wanted someone, and..and Liz seemed as if she really needed a place to stay, you know." Roger sighed.

Olivia shook her head.

"I feel like a stranger in my own home, now, you know that, don't you?" She frowned which he thought was cute even if she were so mad.

"Don't say that. Its not like that. She's, she's OK. She's been fine, you know that. She works, you know. A lot. I hardly ever see her." Roger shivered.

"Because you don't want to. That's it. You avoid her. We all avoid her." Olivia fumed.

"Come on, lets get down to Ellie's and warm up. She did invite us to dinner." His eyes watered. They should have drove. He hoped they made up soon. It was never pleasant when Olivia was mad at him.
