more than a neti pot

Syd had gone all the way to Wal-greens to pick up a neti pot. It was just what Eric needed for his sinuses. It always helped her. He needed something. He sounded terrible, and he looked so much not like her very sweet Eric.

But while she was looking at various kits for sinus problems, she looked around a corner to see Kip. She hid then. This was weird. What was he doing in Wal-greens? She took another look. He was with someone by the KY stuff. Syd couldn't help but stare. Yeap, he heard him speak. That was Kip's laugh. And she knew the other laugh too.

Shocked. She turned back. What was he doing with Liz? How did that happen? Syd winced. She had to choose a neti pot. Now. Focus, she thought. But still she was curious as she peeked around the corner to watch them. All smiles. He had his arm around her. Wasn't like they'd just met. Accidentally.

She wanted to know what was going on, but at the same time, she would be exposing herself too. They hadn't talked in months. And..and what was he going to say when he saw her baby bump. Something she'd picked up from the drug store to put under her blouse? There was this sale?

Syd shook her head. She turned to walk the other way. But Kip noticed her then.

"Hey?"

"Uh, hey?" She said after she turned to see him with Liz who sighed heavily then.

Well, there were no smiles when she looked at Liz. She wasn't sure what this was about. Kip and Liz. Awkward. So awkward. Meet her old roommate from Boston with Liz. Liz, of all people.

Liz finally smiled as if it were nothing. Nothing to be with some guy she said she didn't know.

"Good to see you." Syd said quietly and moved on.

"Maybe we can all get together, sometime." Kip mentioned as she left.

Syd just nodded. She sneaked away to the counter. There was Ravi, clerking.

"What is it?" He winced.

"Oh, nothing." Syd didn't know what to think as he was checking her stuff out. She looked over her shoulder. "Do you know who Liz is with?"

"Liz is here?" Ravi winced.

Syd nodded.

"I was in the photo room, fixing something. I just came out for breaks." Ravi shrugged.

"Well, I used to live with that guy. I wonder what she's doing with him?" Syd looked to Ravi as if he might know, but all she got was a shrug..
