apparently so

Eric guessed he'd met Oliver. Just once.

"Its very vague, you know. I didn't like him." He guessed that might not change. He really wasn't a relative of his. He was that woman's son that his Dad had married.

"He's kind of funny, actually." Ian shrugged. He'd never talked about Oliver once, but then again..Ian didn't talk about his love life, either. Which was beginning to bother Eric, too. Was he seeing an older woman? This Kayla from the library. Perhaps, she wasn't of cougar status, but still, too old for Ian, he thought. He knew he couldn't bring that up now.

"Oh, goodie, just what you need is a laugh, about now." Eric knew Ian was in no mood about this trip across the pond. He held on to Ian's shoulders. It was true, he didn't like sharing his little brother with anyone. Out of all his siblings he was the closest to Ian. But who had called to say she'd go to England with him, their sister Dora. Their Dad was going too.

"What if Syd has the baby while I'm gone?" Ian was worried about school, too.

"She isn't due until late September, you know. I don't think you'll be gone that long." They were looking at old pictures in his parents' livingroom. There were photos of Ian and Oliver. Holidays and with Ian and Eric's Dad.

Eric suddenly squinted. There really was a striking resemblance between his Dad and Oliver. Eric took a closer look. It startled him. But the revelation was coming to him quiet clearly. Maybe Oliver was a part of this family more than he knew.

  1. That would really be a hard thing to bring up now. Especially, to his Dad.

  2. I wonder what he's up too. Really, he needs to focus on Ian.
