"I have too." Amanda told him. Granted, she looked up for the job. More grownup than he'd seen her in a long time. She wore a dark floral dress and her black boots that looked as if she could kick some ass if she had too.
"So nothing has changed with Elliot?" Doyle questioned.
"I shouldn't talk about it..But.... it seems he might be well enough to go back to his job. They were nice enough to, you know, have a sub for him. But I don't know if he's really up to going back. Luckily, he doesn't have a record about the accident. Looks like it all got blamed on the weather conditions now."
"How..how can they-" Doyle shook his head, this wasn't some little hick town they lived in.
"Lets say its that good old boy networking. His dad knew someone and well, apparently everything is just fine." She winced. "But..whatever."
"I'm glad you're doing this." He told her. Really, she'd always wanted to be a music teacher, hadn't she?
"I hope it works." She still looked as if she needed a little more confidence, but apparently, she was moving on. Doyle guess he was too. Yet, deep down he felt he had his own Amanda to worry about...Roger.
