until then

"I don't know what's gotten in to him." Ian told Derrick the next morning when he was up getting the kinks worked out for the wedding. Like, where they'd meet up and have pictures taken before the wedding at the church. "Its like Oliver has this idea, something will go wrong, and there will be no wedding, at all."

"You sound like him." Derrick reminded him. "I can tell, you spent the night with Oliver." He sighed then. "Is he afraid Kayla will ditch him at the alter?"

"Dunno. He's in panic attack mode, you know. Maybe he's afraid to even be at the church." Ian sipped his cup of tea. He looked at the wardrobe on the bed. He hated the thought to being tied to it. He was just in his black boxers and undershirt.

"I'm sure its just nerves." Derrick sounded certain. "Besides, we've got that camping trip to work out." School was practically behind them. Prom went with out a hitch. All was smooth sailing. Friends. Hanging out. Only a day or so until summer vacation. "I think it'll be the best time. The river, caves. You name it." Derrick could hardly wait.

"We just need more practice, pitching that tent, and I'll think we'll be experts." Ian was looking forward to it too. Alone in the woods with Derrick. Of course, Josie had been bugging them, about going. No way would they take her. They'd been hush hush about it. It was their trip into the wilderness.

"See you at the wedding," Derrick got in a hug and kiss. It lingered, but Ian didn't have time to waste. Hopefully, nothing would go wrong, meanwhile.

  7. Well, of course, predicting smooth sailing is just tempting fate. But I like that they're enjoying each other.
