one big family

"I really think we should ...do more with Leon and Tyra." Olivia brought it up with Ravi as he was getting ready for work, and she decided she might actually go shopping with her sister and mother. Just one of those things that had been on her to do list, forever. And they both finally said yes. She supposed the new roommates were next on her list.

"Why?" Ravi winced. "They're fine. They're quiet. We need to leave them alone. They leave us alone. We hardly know they are even here." He shrugged and went to make sure his lunch was packed.

"But..that's not like us? Is it?" Olivia wanted to know them. She wanted to be friends. It was just Tyra was rather aloof and never said a word to any of them. Olivia didn't even know Leon moved in.

"Well, we should be, you  know, more like them. Keep to ourselves." Ravi shrugged again. "Besides, we're looking for a new place. We'll be out of here soon."

Olivia looked up at him a bit sad.

"No, don't you tell me, you've changed your mind. You couldn't. We are finding a place of our own. No relatives, no exs. No one, but us." Ravi was firm about this, and she guess she'd let him.

'Its just ..while we're here, we have to all get along." She drew him in.

"But we are getting along." He sighed and kissed her lips. As if they were the only two that mattered. Not these other people.
