do you know what this is

"What the hell have you been doing, old boy?" Ste was mighty testy with Jonah back at work. OK, he'd spent a three day holiday with Gilly, but it was all in fun.

They'd ended up drinking loads of RED BULL and playing video games. They hardly went out at all. It was fun, and Jonah enjoyed himself.

"It was nothing." Jonah said now, even though it felt like happiness. Odd, but loads of excitement with someone who was possibly more timid than he was. Hopefully, they were at ease with themselves. It was a far cry from clubbing or the party life. Still it felt like a gift. A present, Jonah hadn't quite ever experienced with anyone. Gilly, could be silly. Yet, Jonah didn't know how to express himself, that way. Especially, with just a video game. Gilly could really get into it. Talk back to the screen. Jonah found himself wanting to mimic some of his expressions.

"Look, I'm here 24/7 as if it. I needed a break." Jonah stood up to Ste now, about his little trip.

"I see." Ste didn't say much more. "I'm glad you're back."

Although, Jonah didn't quite believe him. He saw him having a laugh with the new blond receptionist. He'd hate to think what Ste did with her, after hours. If he dwelt on it much, he'd hate him more. No, it was best to try out that game Gilly spoke of. A new gaming system (well, to Jonah, anyway) where they could learn dance moves. As it was, they'd had a great time with Gilly's old Guitar Hero game.

Jonah wanted a new gaming system and then Gilly could come to his place. Oh, Jonah was giddy, thinking of inviting Gilly for the weekend. It was the only thing on his mind. He tried to think of the fun they'd have instead of that lousy kiss he'd tried out on Gilly near the end.

He was not good at the physical stuff. It was best not to create some great romance that he doubted was there with Gilly. He just hoped Gilly would laugh it off.  He swallowed back his anguish.

Jonah certainly didn't want to think about Ste and all the ladies. Really, he was beginning to hate Ste more and more. Yet, this was the fellow who was his boss. It was so hard to respect him.

  1. I'm glad Jonah stood up to him. Maybe Ste isn't as wonderful as he thought he was.
