in the flock of it
"Yeah." Olivia looked as if she were still in limbo.
"I guess it was hard to enjoy your Honeymoon, knowing about that that?" Syd gave her a pat on the back. "Has Amber talked you, since?"
Olivia shook her head, no.
"You know, whats worse..is..is her husband thinking Amber and I..." Olivia rolled her eyes as if she didn't even want to say it. "What did he think we were doing?" Olivia bit into a cookie then as if she needed not to discuss the whole Amber problem. Deep down, she wanted to be Amber's friend. She truly did. And it hurt to wonder if Amber would never speak to her again.
"Well, its the new year." Syd sat down with them who were already at the dining table. "I think we need a garage sale."
"A garage sale?" Ellie looked at her as if they skipping around on topics here. But she guessed it was better to stick with something more productive.
"Yeah, its so warm. We should get those baby clothes sold. And a Christmas tree, I can't stand." Syd told them.
"Then, you and Eric aren't having anymore kids?" Ellie looked at her as if this was major about selling baby clothes.
"I don't think so. I mean, I'm happy everything went so well with Ella, you know. We have Evan. No, two is a enough." She sipped her tea then. "Unless..Olivia, do you want me to give you the infant stuff, I've packed away?"
Olivia looked at both of them as if she might choke on her cookie.
"I dunno. A baby, where we live, right now?" They lived above a diner in the heart of the old market. She shook her head, no.
"Well, stay around Ellie and me.. for too long..its bound to happen." Syd teased. Ellie couldn't help but let a laugh slip.
