a little bit longer now

"God, she's so violent." Derrick squinted hard. He'd called Dorian, who came right over. They were in Derrick's room. He noticed Dorian looking around as if he weren't expecting a pit of dirty clothes and electric guitars about.

"I don't know what to tell you." Dorian shrugged. Derrick thought Dorian might be uncomfortable. As if Dorian had invaded a foreign country without his passport.

"I wish I wasn't like this." Derrick was actually mad at himself, more than Josie. He looked out of the corner of his eye at Dorian as if maybe this was completely wrong. The two of them together. Dorian was going off to college. Derrick bit his bottom lip, thinking he was probably holding Dorian back.

"Its a complicate situation." Dorian nodded as if he understood. "But you have no complete control, over anyone." Dorian sighed as if maybe his mind was somewhere else too.

"I know. I know that." Derrick sighed miserably. "I just don't get it. I mean, I was Ian's boyfriend. How could he..do this ..to me?"

"You just don't know the whole story." Dorian looked at him. "You'll  have to talk to him."

Derrick closed his eyes. He couldn't shake the feeling that it might end in a fight of some kind. But Dorian kissed him as if not to worry. As if he knew where he'd be, right here by Derrick.

Of course, the kiss, lead for more to multiply. Derrick was certain they'd find a way to forget his problems. He knew exactly what he wanted for the next hour or so. Finally, he took a breath. How could he forget Henry so easily? He winced hard. He didn't want to mention him to Dorian. Henry was practically a mute subject.

Naturally, Dorian's attitude was that Henry was innocent, and it was best to leave him well enough alone. The fact remained, Derrick didn't have sex with Henry, so therefore his relationship with Dorian was definitely more important.

"What about us?" Derrick brought that up as if he wasn't going to get too cozy with Dorian.

"What about us? Look, once I leave home, it'll be great." Dorian promised. "Its practically over with Quinn. I'm looking for my own place. And once I get settled, then I'll tell my folks about you." He made it sound so simple. Derrick wanted to trust him. Yet, at the moment, as warm as he felt being with Dorian, everything was in limbo. Derrick still felt he was in the eye of the storm.

  1. I do think Henry is better off without Derrick. But I'm not sure Dorian knows what he's getting into with him, either.

  3. Derrick and Dorian still might not be on the exact wave length. But Dorian is right...Derrick really needs to talk to Henry.
