Don't forget my number

It was Willow's friend Lynsey that showed up out of the blue at the coffee shop. Willow hadn't seen her in ages. Of course, she stopped by to ask about Topher.

"Have you seen him, lately?" She wanted to know.

"Not really." Willow shrugged. "I thought you two had a falling out." She never thought Lynsey to actually be interested in him. Of course, she'd just wrapped up a class in Rome, and Willow figured Lynsey forgot about her too. Willow remembered a time when they texted each other nonstop. "Hence one of the reasons why you stopped talking me." Willow was a bit frustrated with her now.

"I only stopped talking to you, because there was only one person on your mind." Lynsey acted as if this were Willow's fault for not keeping in contact with her. Of course, Willow looked behind her where Jules was fooling around with turkey slices, cheese and cold slaw. He bit into the wrap and gave her a thumbs up. Willow smiled and looked back at Lynsey, wondering if she'd run Jules into the ground if given a chance. Naturally, Willow shoved her small engagement ring in Lynsey's face.

"You didn't?" Lynsey eyeballed her. She looked the ring over. "You're so lucky." She said in the next breath.

"What do you mean?" Willow couldn't help but ask. Wasn't the whole purpose of Lynsey going to Rome..to find her an Italian boyfriend? She was the type who usually sported a new boyfriend for every season.

"You have it all, Willow." Lynsey said with a bit of envy. "Jules is your best friend."

Willow couldn't argue with that. She was about to offer Lynsey a free coffee when she heard the front door jingle. A customer.

"You don't remember Luc, do you?" Lynsey made a quick introduction.

"Luc?" Willow winced. "Should I?"

Luc shook his head, no. "I'm pretty sure we haven't met." He offered a handshake. Luc didn't sound foreign, so he must have been from around here. Willow then introduced him to Jules.

"Probably not." Lynsey left it a mystery. They ordered lunch.

"We have to get together sometime, you know, catch up." Willow said once she served them. Still she was trying to figure out if she was suppose to know Luc or not. Willow guessed she didn't know all of Lynsey's friends.

"Why don't I give, you, my new number?" Lynsey smiled as if that must have been another reason why they'd lost touch.
