in a tizzy
Jules didn't feel so comfortable with video chatting. Obviously, Haley did. She made sure there was a steady conversation every week. She talked about her summer classes. The weather. Music.
Jules was beginning to enjoy it. She spoke of their mother as if she really knew her as a friend. Not so much as a Mom. They went shopping, to movies. Jules was a tad envious, but he was glad they got along so well.
"And I saw Gilly." She beamed as if that was her highlight of summer.
"Its Tristan, isn't it?" That was what she meant. Gilly's baby son. He didn't think she could mean anything else by it.
"No, seriously, Gilly's so fun. We went to the fair. He's so laid back. How come, you never told me you had a friend so cool?" Her eyes lit when she spoke of him, as if it were Gilly who was everything that Jules wanted to be.
"Cool?" He hoped she didn't see the distress in his face. Where was this going? "Just how cool?"
"I dunno. I like how he..talks. He's such a mystery, you know." There she was smiling about him, again.
"He's far to old for you, you know." Jules informed her, trying to joke.
"But wiser, very insightful." Her wince was playful. That smile, just a hint sassy.
Jules looked at her blankly trying to figure out his little sister. She couldn't be serious about Gilly. No way. He knew Gilly would not lead her on.
"How is that wedding coming along?" She asked of his plans now.
"Shooting for September." Jules guessed.
"Will you ask Gilly to come?" She wanted to know.
"I dunno. He has loads to do, you know. Doubt he has the time." Jules sighed, knowing Jonah was coming. Although, he really couldn't think of Haley and Jonah making the trip together. He wasn't so sure if he wanted Haley to get to know Willow's brother. Perhaps it was best she wanted to know Gilly. Still he wasn't sure he liked it.
