"We can't accommodate this friend of yours." Willow's mother was full of formal language.
Lynsey didn't say anything. It was from her understanding she was certain they'd foot the bill for Ruben's trip. They had plenty of rooms. It was practically a resort. It could be.
Lynsey let out a restless sigh. This did not sit well with her. What was Willow's problem? It was a wedding. It was a time of having fun.
"Have you thought of Willow, at all?" Jules was right there with Willow's mother.
Lynsey winced. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to show up for the wedding. "Maybe, you should start thinking, what would Willow do." Jules didn't look angry, but he kept staring at her as if she should answer the question. "Isn't she always there for you?"
Lynsey's mouth twitched. She wanted to lash out at him. Telling him it was all his fault. He'd changed Willow, as far as Lynsey was concerned. How could Willow give up this place and move into a tiny studio. Of course, she'd never set foot in it, but Jules had nothing. How could she love some one so beneath her?
Lynsey stomped out of the house. She didn't listen to another word, but she called Luc as soon as she got in her car. She needed him to pick up Ruben at the airport. "Take him to Topher's."
She sped out of the driveway as quickly as she could, and hurried back to Topher's.
"What is your problem?" Topher asked. He was surprised she didn't get a speeding ticket on her way over. He was on his lap top, video chatting with Ricki. One more thing to put Lynsey in a bad mood. "You are suppose to be there for Willow. You're her best friend."
"If she'd given me more of a chance." Lynsey decided to say when she wanted to tell him..if only Willow was marrying someone else. Naturally, Willow never liked anyone Lynsey set her up with. And now they acted as if Lynsey was trying to be the star of the wedding.
"You're just as immature as you ever were." Topher told her after he shut his laptop.
"Me?' Now she was really angry. Everyone knew how immature Topher was. He couldn't even function, with out her assistance. Well, when she felt like assisting.
Yes, she changed her mind a lot. And she did like being in charge. But the sad fact remained, her family wasn't quite rich, anymore. At the moment her credit cards were maxed. She couldn't help Ruben, and she was the one who invited him.
Can't wait to read more!!!!
