underestimation

"I'm not sure, you enjoyed Paris, at all." Willow was hoping their getaway during the holidays would be spontaneous and joyful.

She knew Jules tried, yet being dumped once again with a new sibling sort of left his personality ruptured. He didn't say much about Archie. She didn't bother him about it, either. He was in awful bouts of quietness. Yet, they went on their merry way to the sights they'd planned to see. Sometimes, she thought he would forget about this brother of his. Yet, later it would come back like an open wound.

"It was amazing." He told her as they were getting ready for their usual schedule of work. "But it would have been completely boring if you weren't there." He smiled at her and touched her nose.

"Maybe, there will be a next time, then?" She smiled as if going in the spring time was actually the best time to go.

"Yeah, of course." But she could tell by that face he made they'd have to win the lottery if they ever went back.

Jules went to bathroom to brush his teeth. She waited for him to finish up.

"So, you'll see Archie, again, too?" She wanted to know.

He only shrugged. He was still brushing as if he'd brush as long as he had too, so he wouldn't have to speak of him.

"What is the point." He finally said from the bathroom sink. "We don't even know each other."

"But he wants to know you. And you know how much you adore Hayley." Willow told him.

"All right." He leaned at the bathroom doorway. His white thermal sleeves hung past his wrist. He was sporting the cherry red Tee-shirt with the Coffee Shop Logo on it.

Willow gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before she took a shower.

"Good old Skype." He said then as he went to get his gloves. It was below zero out there, but it didn't seem to phase Jules.
