if thats not enough

Daisy was happy to be with Hansen at the dance. And when she saw Van and that Freshman, she thought she might be upset, but she wasn't. In fact, she was happy for him. Still, it worried her a little. She hoped he didn't hurt her, but there was the Freshman girl's friend close by.

She looked to be the sort of best friend who would look out for Van's date.

Maybe the best was yet to come. So they danced, even if Hansen might be the worst dancer, ever. He was pretty much adorable to watch. They danced the slow ones too.

For a while she thought Derrick was there with Sunny. For almost an hour she actually thought the guy was Derrick, but he wasn't. Daisy couldn't help but stare.

"What's the matter?" Hansen asked when he'd brought her punch.

"Its nothing." She shrugged. "Its just..that guy..I thought he was Derrick."

"I thought the same thing, too." He kind of laughed.

"Maybe he hired someone to be him tonight." She remarked, wondering when the last time she'd actually seen him.

"Yeah, well, that's not Derrick. Maybe we should go over and you know, say hi, or something." Hansen shrugged.

"I don't think so." Daisy wanted to stay as far from this fiasco as possible.

Hansen just nodded as he sipped his drink, but he went to ask Max about Derrick. She sort of wished he hadn't yet she couldn't keep Hansen from being Max's friend.
