Don't forget

"This is your party, remember?" Ian looked Josie over as she was finishing up her shift at the coffee shop.

"Of course, it is." She looked at him as if he didn't need to question her.

"But your mom is doing all the cooking. I take it, you'll want her to do the clean up too." Ian glared at her as if she was being too much of a princess these days.

"She wants to do it." Her big eyes always got to him, but he was wise of her. "And that Duncan better not be around."

"And what if he is?" He asked.

"God, I don't want everyone thinking she's with yet, another new boyfriend." She put the coffee pot away. The place was practically empty. It was almost time to close.

"He's renting out the basement." Ian reminded her.

"And she'd not even asking five hundred out of him a month. More like three hundred. Maybe less." She sighed as if she was annoyed with her mother.

"You, don't really know him." Ian told her.

"So." She snapped back that she didn't want to know him.

"Just be nice to her, will you?" Ian helped her get into her coat.

"What's got your panties in a wad?" She winced with a perturbed stare.

"Don't you want to be on her good side if we take this trip to England?" Had she forgot what she wanted when school was out?
