finding the real deal

Zac was bluer than blue when he met Jordy, the frontman for Hatchet. Jordy finally came to the auditorium at the high school for a breezy run through of the concert.

Jordy was in leather with a haircut that looked like something from an Anime novel. He was definitely cool, and he knew he was beautiful.

"Now, that's a rock god." Syreeta hit it right on the nail. She might as well have staked Zac in the heart.

"What are you talking about?" Zac grumbled. He hated this guy, instantly. He didn't have to perform. His pure arrogance was plain ugly to Zac.

Damn, if Mitch didn't have to come in and redo every song on their playlist. Naturally, it was Mitch's words of knowing what people liked. "You, have to think about your audience." Besides, it was a benefit concert.

Zac wasn't sure Mitch was trying to help. He wanted the band to be something else. He started working with Syreeta on guitar, and Mitch took to the drums.

"What I see, is just letting you sing." Mitch told him.  "Don't worry about the guitar." Mitch told him.

"You don't think I know what I'm doing? Do you?" Zac was in a huff about it.

"I want to see more harmony." Mitch shrugged as if it could happen. "Between you and Syreeta."

Zac looked at Mitch as if he had to be kidding. But Mitch was pretty sure he could take on the drums. All Mitch had to do was set up the drumline for Jordy., who was pretty much a one man show with that laptop of his.

  2. Wish Zac could take constructive criticism. I really think Mitch wants the best for the band.
