You'll find out just who was your friend

Shan wanted to stay with Fish and his family and forget his troubles with his Dad. But he knew things had changed with him and Fish. And he couldn't let himself have it this easy. It just wouldn't be right.

There were some long phone calls with his Mom. He knew moving back in with her would be ridiculous. After all, he was thankful to still have a job. But it was time for him to be out on his own. After all, graduation was right around the corner.

Luckily, Fish's dad knew a place. He'd gone with him and Fish to check it out. It was just a room. The rent wouldn't be so bad. He'd be living in a house with roommates.

Shan couldn't help to be thankful for everyone looking out for him. He couldn't get depressed about Henry now.

Yes, he did feel bad. Perhaps he was totally selfish, but some things he knew he didn't have any control over.

Yet, it was pure bliss to find someone with the heart of gold like Fish. It made him better. He was sure of it. Hopefully, Henry might understand that one day.

"I don't want your family thinking were having sex, all the time." Shan laughed about it with Fish, but seriously, he hoped Fish's folks weren't thinking that, while he was here. Sure, they were very much in finding each other, but not to point of full blown sex. It was basically enough just to know they had each other, and Shan hadn't slept this good in ages. He finally felt safe and now he was about to move out on his own.

"Maybe you can start some classes this summer at the University." Fish thought it was a good idea.

"Why would I do that?" Shan didn't want to think of more classes. He needed a summer off.

"Because, you'd be close to the University." Fish reminded him.

"I guess." He knew Fish was thinking of his future. Maybe he would. His Step-Mom was moving back in with his Dad. It was all going to be fine.

Still, he wanted Henry to be himself, again. Shan hated the thought of what had become of him was all his fault. He hoped Henry's parents didn't blame him. But he couldn't muddle around and bring himself down about it. He couldn't go back and watch Henry sleep.
