not quite a farewell

wild at heart

"I just don't know what I did to Henry." Josie couldn't help to talk about him while they were at the food court.

Lola got her favorite sour dough sandwich and Daisy nursed a lowfat coffee smoothie. Josie bit another fry as if she were mad at something.

"You, didn't do anything. He's just not ready to talk about it." Daisy told her. "God knows, what he's been through. He's just afraid."

"But why me?" She sounded as if he'd done something to her. He didn't want to be her friend. "What did I do?"

"Daisy is right, you just need to give him time." Lola nodded.

"I saw him with this really skinny girl. Maybe she's a druggie. Probably, met her in rehab." Josie shrugged.

"You, really are funny." Lola grinned, she sipped at her iced tea contently. "Oh, I heard from Ian."

Josie squinted as if that was the worst news yet. "What? What did he say?"

"He's working. Just working." She shrugged.

Josie made a face of disgust. She clearly meant to hate him. She needed too. It was time to get over him, but how?

"Josie," Daisy then looked at her seriously. "Don't do anything, you'll regret."

Josie winced hard. What was that suppose to mean?

  2. Sometimes Josie seems alright and other times she is very judgmental.

  3. I hope they'll figure out how to be real friends. Actually, I think Lola is a good friend. And maybe she and Daisy need to be better friends.
