"Stop it!" Ash found himself yelling into his cell as he was getting ready to go to the theater to help Lola out on some artwork for a set. They were managing to somehow create the entrance of the White House, and Lola needed his help, but of course, Denny called. "Not one more word." He didn't want to suffer through one more conversation about Denny.
"But..but he's seeing someone." Denny fumed about his boyfriend Darby.
"Well, who's fault is that?" Ash had already seen the picture of Denny and some skinny girl. He didn't watch the show and he wasn't sure that was acting the way they were all so cozy on the streets of Toronto.
"You know, its not true." Denny started to defend himself.
"Does Darby know?" Ash sighed as he got out the door and made sure the place was locked up. Denny was quiet on his end of the phone.
"You two need to talk. I have no control over the situation. But you can set this right. You, can come clean. Its not that big of a deal, you know." Ash didn't get Denny. He knew of his friend as openly gay. What had changed? Was there somebody else telling him to do this? Was he going to rock the boat if he kissed and told about Darby?
Of course, these were questions Denny didn't have answers too. He'd just gotten wrapped up in the notion that he could be a star. And he was going to L.A.
"So how are things with you and Lola?"
"I thought you'd never ask." Ash grinned. "We're having a baby!"
