twists and turns

twists and turns prt.1

"Are you kidding me? You, are kidding me, right?" Henry couldn't believe it. He winced hard, thinking of Josie without Sky. "How could you?"

"Well, I didn't." Josie looked at him puzzled as he went to gather his books from his locker at school. "He just left. I'd only said ..what was on my mind."

"You'll kiss and make up." Henry decided. Maybe it wasn't nearly as BIG as Josie told him, only a few minutes ago when he got to school. Of course, Vada hadn't stuck around to listen to Josie.

"No. We won't." She sounded as if it were so final. "He moved out."

"So. You two..will kiss and make up." Henry was sure of it.

"Well..you haven't kissed and made up with Leo, have you?" She winced, reminding him that some things were final.

"That. That..is beside the point." Henry gritted as he walked down the hall with her.

He could see then that she did need a hug so he hugged her before they went their separate ways. It was then he noticed Leo in the hallway.

twists and turns prt.2

Leo did his best to show no expression at all. He wasn't going to be happy about the outcome of the fashion show. After all, it was best not to get his hopes up. He hated how giddy he'd sounded on the phone with Garvin. Leo thought back, to after the fashion show. It was on instant replay in his head.

Yes, he'd gone to dinner with Sal, and they'd met the lady who was looking for new talent. She was even more surprised to find out that Leo was a guy.

Actually, she liked that about him.

That was when she offered him a chance of a lifetime.

"Its sort of like Boot Camp." She smiled. "You know, we take you. See, if you've got what it takes."

"And..and its a TV show?" Leo still couldn't wrap his head around this.

He remembered her nod, as if this was his ticket. It would be six weeks in New York City. It would start in mid-May, just three days after graduation. Honestly, Leo couldn't believe his luck.

And he'd met Sal.

It still took his breath away. Yet, there was this underlying feeling that it was all too good to be true.

  1. Hmm... when it feels too good to be true there is usually a reason for that... I hope Leo is wrong...

  2. Leo should simply enjoy the opportunities as they roll in.
