Like old times

Like Old Times

It was actually going to happen. Charlie was getting Lily back!

And it happened, all because of Draco's mother. She'd still keep Lily on Charlie's shifts at the grocery store, but her daughter was hers, again.

Of course, Draco was rather mysterious about it. He hadn't even showed up at the Court House. She supposed he was afraid he might get arrested. Well, she wanted to believe it.

He was so aloof, He had been for the longest time. He'd shied away from even speaking to her at his parents house.

Oh, it hurt. She didn't want it too, but it did. It was true..she'd loved him more. And for what?

Her whole life was messed up, because of him.

But now she had Macy on one side and Essie on the other. They were out celebrating even it were only banana splits at the mall. Of course, Lily was there, in the middle of a chocolate sundae.

"So, are you going to just stay at Nico and Mitch's with Lily?" Macy asked.

"For the time." Charlie told them that Nico and Mitch planned to move by the end of the month. Nico found a job at a hospital in Council Bluffs. "Then Carson and I can have their room and Lily can have mine."

"Well, if you need any help, Scott's really good at moving things." Essie said she'd help and Macy told her she was sure Gage could help. After all, he was Carson's brother.

Charlie couldn't get over this feeling of true happiness. She wouldn't look back on Draco. Perhaps, she'd never see him again. And she was OK with that.
