out of the blue

out of the blue

Irma stuffed as many pecans as she could on the cracker, smashed with cheeseball. She didn't even know where it came from, but Holden was back, and a bit banged up.

His car had spun out of control on the interstate on Christmas eve, and he ended up with a broken arm.  His sister came back with him. Well, Irma misunderstood, evidently.

"We're not really related." Luna informed her. "His Dad married my Mom."

Irma kept hacking at the left over cheeseball, as if it was something to do, instead of ignoring the current situation.

Jung was off limits. She barely got to see him at work. His brother Jin was keeping a watchful eye on him, as of late.

For a moment, Irma got the bright idea that maybe..just maybe this Luna could side track Jin. She was pretty enough to be a distraction. Irma took another bite of the cracker sandwich.

When she turned her head, just so, to look down the hallway to Holden's room. Did she see what she thought she was seeing? Were they kissing?

She'd met Luna once before, over the summer, but she'd brought her college boyfriend then.

Irma winced hard, trying not to watch the two of them. Together. Ever so close?

"Aren't you afraid, that'll make you fat?" Luna came back and put the lid on the plastic bowl, the cheese ball was in. Then put it in the fridge.

Irma only sighed. She was starving. She either thought about Jung, all the time, or wanted to eat junk food.

Well, she had nothing else better to do with out Jung in her life. She took a round cracker and stuffed it her mouth. January was going to be terrible.

Luna went into Holden's bedroom and shut the door behind her.

Irma looked out of the livingroom window. She shivered at the snow softly falling. Irma didn't want to stick around here.

  1. Irma is definitely not in a good place right now. She needs a hobby, a job, or something to put her mind elsewhere.

  2. Irma needs to find something else to do... eating is not the answer ...
