today is the day

Today is the day

Jung did not like this at all.

What was Irma doing with that guy?

Yes, sometimes, he watched her from a distance. They didn't get see each other much. His brother didn't like Irma. He said she was bothersome. How was Jin ever going to become a doctor with her around?

Of course, Jung wasn't going to be a doctor. He didn't know if he'd ever have a real career. But he was taking classes. He knew he'd do something in sign language. Maybe if he was lucky he could work at a hospital. But he doubted it.

Maybe he could just teach, kids..like himself.

Irma sounded happy about the idea. But now, there was no happiness at all. She wasn't in his life.

She was with some guy at the pharmacy.

And they were looking at home pregnancy tests.

Jung stepped forward. Immediately, he wanted to know what was going on.

Of course, she introduced him to Josh. She told him she'd known him when she was a little girl.

"He's my neighbor." She smiled.

That didn't really answer the question. What was going on?

She looked at him sadly. Yes, the pregnancy test was for her.

Jung told her he wanted to be there, when she found out. She looked as if she wasn't sure she wanted to know.

He went and paid for it. It was the least he could do. He knew his brother wouldn't check on his where-abouts until sun down. There was plenty of light.

So he got in Josh's pickup and they drove back to Irma's.

Josh said he would order pizza at his place.

Jung only smiled, thinking this might be the most important day of his life. This could change everything for Irma and him.
