"She's your girlfriend." Taylor shrugged. He was holding a basked of must have protein bars, standing at the deli with Omaha, where Gage was behind the counter making them sandwiches on crust bread.

"He's right. You, just don't take anybody to see your friend's newborn." Gage agreed as he plopped the two sandwiches on the glass top of the counter.

Omaha practically heaved a sigh when he took the sandwiches for their supper.

"You two, don't even know what you're talking about." He was straight lipped. He didn't want to crack a smile about this.

"You need to take her out," Gage said.

"On a real date." Taylor nodded.

"Yeah, a real date where you spend some money. No freebies." Gage looked at him blankly.

"No dutch."

"What is that, anyway?" Omaha winced.

Taylor smiled. Omaha rolled his eyes. He snatched a bag of lowfat potato chips.

"See, he's already watching what he eats." Gage smiled.

Omaha sighed again. He looked at Taylor for a little help, but he wasn't getting any.

"Just ask her out, will you, Omaha?" Taylor was serious.

Omaha couldn't think what to say. Of course, he didn't know what he could say to Sheena, either.
