tell me about it

tell me about it

Had Stu been wrong? Maybe he'd been gone so long, that no one would know him, anyway.

He was out of luck with conversation, lately. He'd even decided to start online dating.

Of course, that hadn't been very successful, either.

He got stood up. Stu should have known better.  Still this person sent him e-mail, daily. And because he had nothing better to do, he would write back.

Usually, it was about his day. Boring, he supposed.

Like right now, here with Ben, who looked like had nothing to say.

Finally, Ben's girlfriend took over as if she might be with Frankenstein.

"Nice, to meet you." She shook his hand. "I've, I've heard about you." Her smile was open.

"Really?" Stu found that hard to believe.

Sure, he and Ben hung out back in middle school, but it was mainly to play video games.

She then took him toward the buffet. That's when she told him about Ben's accident.

Stu winced more. He did feel bad for Ben.

Honestly, he was about to call it a night, but Ben showed up, and put a few more eggrolls on his plate.

"Why don't you tell, where you've been and what you're doing now?" Ben looked at him as if he was ready to listen.

Stu smiled back. It would be good to talk. Stu was starting to think he didn't know how to have a conversation, anymore.

  1. I am glad Stu has someone to talk with... it is needed, I think we all need that too...
